Bismillaah wasalaatu wasalaamu 3alaa rasoolillaah amma ba3d
Indeed there are a lot of virtues of seeking knowledge and enough for us is the saying of Allaah sub7anahu wata3alaa
قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ
"Say: "Are those who know equal to those who know not?" It is only men of understanding who will remember (i.e. get a lesson from Allâh's Signs and Verses)" Zumar:9
And also the Saying of Allaah
(إِنَّمَا يَخۡشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡعُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ (٢٨
It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All¬Mighty, Oft¬Forgiving. Faatir:28
so upon read these virtues the one who has a sound intellect and the one loves Allaah 3azza wajal properly will say to himself
"I want to be a Scholar"
it is easy to be motivated.... and as a someone put it "it's easy to the talk but are you willing to walk the talk?"
and i ask my dear brothers and sisters in Islaam
aren't you tired of being a laymen.
aren't you tired of being a jaahil.
aren't you tried of being unaware of your creator and his religion.
Then Hasn't the time come to change yaa ikhwaan ?
Hasn't the time come ?
أَلَمۡ يَأۡنِ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَن تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوبُہُمۡ لِذِڪۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ
"Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) to be affected by Allâh's Reminder (this Qur'ân), and that which has been revealed of the truth.." Hadeed:16
Na3am the time has come.!!!!
Imaam Al Qahtaani said in his beautiful Poetry An Nooniyyah
فاستحي من نظر الإله وقل لها***إن الذي خلق الظلام يراني
Have Shyness from the Eyes of Allaah***Verily the one who created darkness is watching.
كن طالبا للعلم واعمل صالحا***فهما إلى سبل الهدى سببان
Be a Student of Knowledge and do good actions***verily these two are the way to the Righteous path.

How to seek knowledge... what books to start with... how do you go about it etc etc
